Folio VI is an atmospheric, unisex fragrance inspired by the intimate stillness of an old library—the scent of time-worn pages, polished wooden shelves, leather bindings, and the faint warmth of beeswax lingering in the air. My personal inspiration for this came from the old, overgrown library ruins hideout in the story Babel, where nature has grown entwined with books in every corner.
The scent opens with a cool flicker of bergamot and green fig leaf, like late-afternoon light filtering through tall windows. As the fragrance settles, papyrus and the unmistakable scent of old books emerge alongside smooth rosewood and deep mahogany, softened by delicate tea rose and powdery orris root. Light leather and beeswax lend the impression of a well-loved antique binding, while Atlas cedarwood lingers at the base like the shelves themselves: aged, enveloping, and quietly enduring.
Woody, papery, softly floral, and nostalgic without becoming overly sweet or heavy, Folio VI is less the scent of a library than the feeling of finding something within one that has been waiting to be discovered.
