My mother always had these chocolate cherry bonbons around the house during the holiday season. Each morsel felt like their own little presents of marzipan, cherry & liquer, smothered in a dark chocolate with a hint of nuttiness. They came in a small red box, & were actually called Mozart Kuegeln (but that's not a very great name is it?) "Mon Cheri" evokes almost a perfect rendition, if I do say so myself.
